Fishing & Boating
FERNDALE LODGE in Sebastian has some of the finest fishing and
boating in Florida. From our docks on the Indian River, the SEBASTIAN
INLET is only 10 minutes by boat and provides access to the Atlantic for
great offshore fishing.
Fishing
Sebastian Inlet is well known for SNOOK fishing, but you can also
catch large REDFISH, FLOUNDER, MANGROVE SNAPPER, BLUEFISH, SPANISH
MACKEREL and more.
In the Indian River you can catch TROUT, REDFISH, SNOOK,
SHEEPSHEAD, JACKS and more. The Indian River around Sebastian is
pristine with clear water, grass flats and oyster bars.
Offshore fishing is great with, DOLPHIN, KINGFISH, WAHOO, COBIA, GROUPER, SNAPPER, and more.
Boating
Check out our 250' fishing pier and boat dock with a 360° view using IPIX technology. Guests are
welcome to fish off the dock or just sit and relax on any one
of the several comfortable benches. Have an early morning coffee
and watch the sun come up over the spoil islands.
We offer FREE boat slips to our guests, as well as FREE canoe and
row boats to those adventurous to use them. The Indian River is shallow
along the Sebastian coastline -- about 2 to 3 feet of water off our
dock. We can accommodate boats up to 20’ .
Public launch ramps are within 1/2 mile of the lodge. We have
adequate parking for boat trailers on our property. Several nice
uninhabited "spoil islands" lie just off our property - they
make excellent picnic areas and are great places for kids to explore.
Weather permitting, its an easy quick canoe ride from the Lodge to the
Islands.
The Intercoastal waterway is just to the East of the spoil islands
with plenty of deep water for almost any size boat. Ferndale Lodge is located directly west of ICW Marker 69.
